My Story

My education started at Samford University where I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and PreMed in 2007. My career began on a cardiac unit in Birmingham, AL where I learned in depth the acute care aspect of open heart surgery, heart attacks, and detrimental effects of uncontrolled high blood pressure, diabetes, and high cholesterol. After a few years of experience, I moved to Seattle in 2010 where I worked as a Float RN at the University of Washington Medical Center until 2015. In 2011, my desire to return to education which focused around prevention, health promotion, teaching, and improving health outcomes, led me to attend medical school at Bastyr University where I graduated in 2015. From 2015-2016, I completed a one year residency program at Bastyr Center for Natural Health.

From 2016 - 2021, I worked as a primary care and minor acute care provider of outpatient clinics in Seattle where I built a primary care panel and grew the clinic from 4 patients/day to 20 patients/day.

From 2021-2022, I obtained my Nurse Practitioner degree due to continued ND hiring restrictions based on limited pharmaceutical prescription and Medicare inclusion.

From 2022 - current, I am the Site Medical Director of an FQHC in Seattle, WA and was recruited to expand their Integrative Medicine offerings.

Starting in 2025, my career is pivoting to provide integrative medicine to multiple CHCs and FQHCs through low barrier entrance into systems through my NP license. Since 2017, I have been involved with NWRPCA conferences regarding ND inclusion which has led me to continuing to see the increased demand from CHCs & FQHCs and patients to provide integrative medicine.

My goal as a doctor is to provide excellent medical care with whatever tools are most beneficial. I resonate with the adage of doctor as teacher, and I believe in educating patients on standards of care and acknowledging the importance of shared decision-making to enhance quality of life. Integrative medicine through the naturopathic medicine lens excites me in that I can use multiple modalities to work with patients in their life journey. I am passionate about high quality primary care, community health care, and improvement and expansion of naturopathic medical school education, residencies, and jobs. Naturopathic Doctors are excellent primary care providers and continue to grow into the primary care and integrative medicine spaces within the medical system at large, contributing to improving health outcomes from a Whole Health perspective.
